stick has asked me to put this up for him Stick has acquired a share in this 3yo gelding. On its sole outing as a 2yo it was 3rd fav of 10, unplaced behind Kingman. There are shares available if anyone would like to join stick in this venture. A very nicely bred colt by Teofilo. The dam, Most Charming, is by Darshaan out of a Danzig mare. Cheers for putting this up Ron. This gentlemen and ladies is a horse I am just getting involved in. He is a 3yo gelding by TEOFILIO out of a DARSHAAN mare. He had one race at two in the Newmarket maiden won by KINGMAN. After that he cracked a bone in a hock, other niggling problems have come along since and kept him from seeing the racecourse again. He is only doing light work at the moment but the plan is to have him ready for a winter all weather campaign starting out in November. He really is beautifully well bred and is the perfect gentleman. He really does have a lovely way about him. There are ten shares available in him and they are available on a purchase or lease arrangement on a deal where you can walk away at any time. Those ten shares in him are ridiculously cheap! Its a bit of a gamble as he has had an injury but there really is no sign of that any more and he was allowed to recover naturally. He could be a very fun horse. If any of you are interested in having a share in him just get in touch with a pm and I will share all the details.
I was about to say that we might be interested in a mating but I see he's a gelding. Corrected my earlier post accordingly
I see he was a goldophin horse? Very nice looking horse indeed, would love to get involved but just in the process of buying a pointer half/half he is going to train it, use his contacts to use the gallops etc. i will getbtonride it occasionally which will be cool. nothing major as is just point to pointing but it's start.
The horse looks fantastic Stick and I wish you luck with it. It is the sort of horse that could prove a bargain with a little luck. With his breeding even if not reaching the heights once expected due to his injury he may well be able to make some kind of impact on the all weather circuit.
You could also throw him over hurdles. Good luck with him, can't be any worse than the two Foxtrot horses!
A couple of years ago Godolphin made a similar decision to axe Tropics from their roster of horses and since joining his new connections, for the sum of 2,500 gns, he has won them over a quarter of a million pounds in prizemoney. I hope The Squire proves just as lucky for you, old boy.
