What's important about end of season betting? Nobody needs it until the end of the season. I never ever request my match threads stickied but other boards swear by it. Just no need. I don't use a phone on here but I used to, some phones browsers only allowed a dozen threads to one page, when 7 are stickies it can make it irritating. Only the prediction games and temporary notices (ie) Marcus Gigs which need stickies imo. The search facility on this site is spot on, really easy and right there on the menu bar under 'search forums' everything is so easy to find.
I'll disagree green thumb! You look at the Ashes Thread and it's 3 times the size of the transfer thread!. I know it won't last but Atleast keep the England vs Australia theme going because it's kept this board going !
It's the most active thread of the summer, it would never have dropped off the first page, meaning no need to be a sticky as it's always there anyway. Threads good enough to stand alone (the ashes thread most certainly being one of them) have the least need to be stickied out of any threads imo. People won't lose interest in their Cricket just because it doesn't have a sticky. Announcements and games are all that need a sticky imo.
But i thought the ashes was finished.. I agree by looking at the numbers it was a very popular thread for some, so just bump it, and if its that popular it will stay near the top of the page anyway... but you cant sticky all threads....borini had to go, last poster was never a sticky, nor was smug pun thread, all much bigger and much more popular...
