STFU about relegation

  1. I've been very negative today after the Stoke game, but people are taking it too far talking about relegation? Seriously shut the **** up.

We've got Wolves, Birmingham, West Brom, Blackpool and Villa still to play. 5 strugglers. I think we can win against Wolves and Brum, which would get us another 6 points and take us up to atleast 42 points. Then i reckon we'll get a point atleast against WBA at home, and maybe a result vs Blackpool.

We also have Villa to play, and they're probably in worse shape than all the other teams we have left to play. I fancy maybe a point there.

I reckon we're a couple of games away from securing our safety, and i believe we've done enough to establish ourselves above the relegation fodders. We're not exactly an amazing team, but we're better than a canny few in this league. I know it's stupid to say who we're going to win against, especially after the season we've had so far, but we have got a potential 10-15 points still very much achievable, and who knows, maybe we'll shock the world and beat one of the bigguns. You never know!

Seriously if you want to talk about relegation, stay the **** away from St James' Park. That's exactly what we don't need.

Agree... been a few over reactions, but the majority have been of similar opinions to us. If we can't get 6 points out the next 8 games including Wolves, Brum, Villa, Blackpool, and WBA then we don't deserve to stay up... for the record I think we can quite easily get another 10 points and finish inside the top 12.

  4. 2 wins and 3 draws to give us 9 points would be decent. It would take us to 45 pts and safety.
Outside the top 5, everyones had a **** season really. Everyone's had their good moments, but everyones been inconsistant.

1 win in 10, 3 wins under Pardew (not counting the Liverpool game), its relegation form, Stoke lost 3-0 at West Ham and haven't won 4-0 in the PL before today. West Brom are unbeaten in 5, Wolves 4, West Ham have 7 points from there last 3. We lose next 2 games then I think we'll go. Hope your right Tash.

Agree with article but the 8 games we have left are very tough. 5 games are against teams in the dogfight which again will be tough as they will be desperate for 3 points, im not saying we will go down as I think we wont but when players get results like today go against them then confidence will be low.

Wolves next will be hard as they on a brilliant run of form and the players need to be fired up for that or we are looking at serious worrying times.

  9. 1 win in 10 - We were unlucky not to get wins against Spurs and Sunderland. Pardew and the team have deserved atleast 5 wins so far.

It's not Pardew's fault. We need more quality upfront and at the back.

Yeah one or two games is bad luck 4 games against Blackburn, Sunderland away, Tottenham home and Bolton home is something fundamentally wrong. Pardew was the one who chose to get Ireland on loan rather than a defender or striker on loan, Wasn't Sturridge available on loan?

  11. Well for basically all but 2 hours, Pardew had no money to buy a striker of quality. Carroll's departure was extremely poorly timed.
However, Leon Best with 6 goals in 10 games, he's doing well.

  12. And btw, don't include the FA cup game.

Think of it this way. 3 wins in 11 PL matches. Could and probably should have been 5 wins out of 11, but 3 wins 5 draws 3 losses isn't that bad.

Last two games, it's our defending that's let us down.

Best is our best striker and probably our most threating striker.

Lover - Poor today. Just so average in general.
Kuqi - ... Are you serious?
    Strolla - Same as Lover.
Ranger - Inexperienced but potentially can become very good/top-class.

You're most definately a ' glass half empty ' man.....

  15. Best has done well in the absence of Carroll. 6 goals already, scored in 4 of his 10 games.
    Definetely our best striker.

Lovenkrands is average but works well with the right partner. He's ****e with Ameobi, but decent with Best.

I think it's definetely time to say goodbye to Shola.

Ranger - Needs to buck the **** up and get his attitude sorted out, but we stucky behind Carroll, never knowing if he was going to be locked up for his next game or not.
We should stick by Ranger, but at the same time give him hell so he gets himself sorted out.

Bury your head in the sand if you want to Tash, but just going to the match n chanting all day wdoesn't mean we stay up. If we start talking about being unlucky against this team and that team we will end up sounding like the Mackems.
Get real, we are playing pap, collecting no points and are in a battle with other relegation threatened teams.
I just hope we have the balls for the fight. I truly think the sooner we win 1 game the sooner we can relax and ease over the line. But don't be telling realists to not go to the ground. Our lack of striking options might come back to bite us in the arse but I hope not...

  19. Last two games have been poor, but we have not been playing pap at all. We lack a bit of quality upfront to put away more of our chances to get us the points, but our overall performances have been good mostly. Even today, i don't think Stoke deserved to win, we just deserved to lose because of our poor defensive display.

Empty when we lose, full when we win lol, defo been more half empty this year, mind u when I fear relegation we tend to go out and win or put a run together. Everton A Won 1-0, West Ham A Won 2-1, won next three, Liverpool H Won 3-1, Wigan A Won 1-0, won next two, so if we beat Wolves and Villa I'm always negative from then onwards.
