Stewart and Simmo is this the partnership we've been looking for?

Just put my 11 year old to bed, we discussed today's game and he commented that every time he's seen Stewart and Simmo play together they've scored goals! Quoting last boxing days trip to Sheffield utd were Simmo scored a brace.

So who's got the stats how often have these two played together and how fruitful was Simmo?

i know he set him up for both goals the week before at home to bristol too, but simpson didnt score before, so 5 assisted goals between them im guessing is the answer.

The facts speak for themselves, Simpson comes on for McClean in the last minute of extra time takes the ball off an Ipswich player then delivers a sweet through ball to Stewart which he puts in the back of the net. They work well together and could very well become a good partnership if allowed to. Simpson should of been on 10 minutes earlier IMO. Ipswich where the better team for most of the second half, especially after they brought Scotland on. I am afraid was not impressed with Oli at all and Vito had about three howlers, two of which he got away with, the third led to their goal. Must say though was impressed with Brady in central midfield. Perhaps we should try him there in League games.

I was surprised that Nick left it that late to give OJ a game. But fairs far, OJ came off the bench and set up the clincher even if there were only 20 secs left. Yes it should be given a chance to work...how about round 4 of the fa cup. ? It was also interesting to hear Bradys post game interview with Burnsie when he said that Josh King is faster and stronger than himself and Stewart. One things for sure if King does come City wont lack pace.

Nick also nearly let the cat out of the bag regarding players in,, in his interview with Burnsie. Its available on the Football Forum - Listen again option.

One other point of note and interest. Adam Hammill was not involved for Wolvers yesterday despite many squad players being used. Any reason why ? just saying like.

If they're considering any deal (which we know they are) it makes no sense to cup-tie him, instantly lowering his value.

That was meant to cone off as a joke. I'm aware of the way those two link up and think it may be a possibility.
