No, it was Lewis Hamilton impressing upon everybody how poor he was, whilst karting every weekend around the country (which is not cheap at all). He's also raced at Interlagos which is surrounded by favellas

I have no particular love of Hamilton, as the F1 board members will tell you, but if I was earning £20m a year I'd live in a tax haven too, it's not like he's Amazon.
Might not be the best idea to moan about the deprived area that you grew up in when you do so, though.
Agree with the first bit . I would also take advantage of tax reduction if I could . But as PNP says . Not a smart idea to say off where you come from .
Didn’t his family have money ? Karting isn’t a cheap hobby to support your kid in, someone had money. I admire his tenacity and focus, but he really is a bellend
During the BBC Sports Personality of the year Lewis said he had to get out of the slums, and his hometown of Stevenage has taken massive umbrage at it. Rightly so, Stevenage is no way a slum, it’s a ****hole but not a slum
