Not too sure what to make of this one.... I have high hopes but we haven't been prolific in this competition (barring the 10-11 season) This is how I fancy us to line up: Gerken Vaseli - Chambo - Berra - October Anderson - Skuse - Hyam - Tabb Nouble - McGoldrick Bench: Loach, Hewitt, Berkani, Lawrence, Hammond, Taylor, Murphy Hopefully we will be able to bring on the youngsters with half hour still to play i.e. Hammond to play wide right I'll plump for a 2-1 victory Nouble & Murph (from the bench)
I'd have to agree with the team you've picked...from what we have available, and from what MM has said, that looks the likely team. I'm hoping for plenty of goals, as i'll be there...hopefully the rain also stays away. I'll go for a 3-2 victory for us, after extra-time (Chambers with 2 and Taylor from the bench in ET)
We should have enough to win, but if we do, is it really what we need. With the league season just started, I would have thought the last thing you would want is galavanting down to Stevenage, when there is another tough league game on Saturday. Okay some of you will say a winning team is a good thing, but for me playing in matches like this is not going to make a jot of difference in league form, okay we might change the team a bit, but a lot might still play Saturday, we will need the subs to make an impact on Saturday, then of course the match has to be decided tonight, yes extra time is a possibility, not for me thanks
I would like to see Taylor given a start playing just off Noubs, I reckon a 2-0 win for us. Taylor & Chambo.
Going on our "attacking play" in the first half you may well be right, though it's more likely to go to penalties!!
Cannot say I'm hugely surprised after Saturday. Created absolutely nothing. McCarthy's comments about how " excellent " Mings in particular and Hewitt were Saturday were frankly laughable! Think this is our first consecutive defeats under Mick - lets get our season nicely on track Saturday with three points please
