Stevenage had a good season, earning promotion to League one by finishing as runners-up in the division. In their opening game this season, they were away to fellow promoted rivals Northampton, and beat them with a 80th minute goal. As we know, Watford had a good first 45 minutes Saturday before going into cruise control. I suspect this will be a very different game, with Stevenage looking to win Hertfordshire bragging rights. It will be interesting to see what sort of team Watford start with. Will it give some of the bench sitters a chance to shine?
I reckon it will be a squad rotation with starts for the "fit" newbies. That said I wouldn't want to risk Georgi against a robust L1 outfit!
Yes not sure it's a game for Asprilla either. I mean it probably won't matter who plays - we'll lose I suspect. Always seem to!
Play two or three under 21's, they have to prove at some time they can handle the pressure plus a couple of the bench warmers to show if they can step up
Do we need the money from a cup run? It is becoming difficult to know if the signings we have made are because they are the type of players we want, or we are short of money.
I guess going through might mean a big game at home on TV but then we've played them all recently. Mind you fancy playing Man City again!?
I would like to see some players get a run out, especially the likes of Livermore and Lewis to get some minutes.
I guess Hamer in goal too. Has Okoye officially gone on loan to Udinese? I noticed in the programme on Saturday he was listed as a player, but without a number, and wasn't shaded in as being out on loan.
I'm assuming there are no streams available - and that the Hive has no video coverage? It's my son's birthday today and we're off out for a meal - so would probably miss most of it it anyway.
Sunak is taking the family out to a £12,000 a table meal in Disneyland. I take it you had something slightly more modest in mind?
Strong team. Pleasantly surprised. One advantage is it gives the team more time to bed in the system and a plan B and more competetive match minutes in the legs.
