We need a new CB now but they will probably drop Dummett there and play Haidera at LB.

Probably the last we will see of Saylor. Can't say I really give two ****s if I'm honest.

Saylor comfortably our best defender this season at centre half. When he went off today we went to rat ****. He is a fragile **** though.

Colo is a clown at present.

I cut Janmaat some slack as he had a great start and still looks great going forward. He is having a tough time at present defensively but he will turn out a class act.

Dummett I feel is a victim of playing with these baffoons but he isn't good enough. He might be a good squad option but no more (centre back or left back).

Haidara is not even Championship standard. He can't even control a football. People need to stop talking about starting that useless **** break.

Willo is a championship centre half - end of story.

I now realise I have been too harsh on Santon. Not a top 6 player, but at least he is probably a top 10 defender of sorts.

Our defensive options are an absolute disgrace.

Yep, it's a fcking shambles alright. Going to be a painful 2015. Carver in charge, Williamson starting, worst striking options we've had in the Premier League era.

    Total over reaction IMHO.
He fact is we've been better with him than without him.
    Willo was piss poor today.

We just need to sort out the defence. We need to go out there and purchase two fit for purpose centre backs. Not some feeble French ****er. Either get someone at home or go somewhere like Scandinavia, Germany or the Eastern Block where they are actually made of the right stuff. We need to stop pissing about and sort it out. Pardew was wanging on and on about a striker. Yes we need one. Someone like Carroll, Austin or Ings would be ideal. However we have far more pressing issues

Steven Taylor is indeed fragile. No disagreement there. BUT we were better with him on the pitch, and he scored a goal for us!!
Very hard thread which misses a few targets to have a moan about.

Agree that it's hard to take Saylor being injured yet again, and with what looks like a long term injury.
However up until the point he was hurt he was doing fine. We looked more cohesive with him than without. The injury was really unfortunate, he just landed awkwardly, sadly it could have happened to anyone. Agree that the main priority needs to be our defenders or lack of them. Can't help but feel that Colo regresses when partnered with Willo and despite the rhetoric our back line have no confidence in Alnick and it shows in their play which is panicked and disjointed. We need some reinforcements in this window, but l doubt we will see any new faces, if anything we are likely to see some exits and not all of them, if any, those that are needed.

We need a vile thug at cb. A nasty, frankenstein's monster's wife abortion type thing that will mutilate the opposition.

A Shawcross, Ryan Nelsen, Vidic, Ivanovic, Hyypia, Vlaar, etc type. Not just someone who can lead, but more so some horrible **** who will give you a consistent 7 out of 10 minimum and give oppo strikers something to fear.

An animal from eastern Europe I reckon. He doesn't run, have any skills and, most importantly, no love for his fellow man. Like a Huth type but more dirty in a saavy way. Hurt the opposition with intent but clever about it. Not totally ******ed in their maiming if you know what I mean.

The defense is in a mess because they are being unsettled by Alnwick in goal, the best thing the club could do as soon as the window opens is get an experienced goalkeeper and sack Alnwick off the books, this will at least help them and reduce the errors and soft goals.

That is what most clubs would do. We will think "Well Krul or the sub standard Elliot will be back soon. Then we have Darlow to replace Krul in the summer when we cash in our chips. Nah **** it, we only need 13 or 14 points to stay up"

Defo not helping the defence but we still lack quality back there. Centre half options are just poor. Even if we just got one to see us through to the summer.
