Just returned to Wolves after his loan Sochaux, doesn't look like he'll get a look in their side even now, would he be good to have back to fill in for Hobbs
Only made 4 appearances for Sochaux, think we could get him back for about 500-700k, wages should be cheaper than McShane's at the moment so it would be a good deal
I know, who thought how hard it would be to get rid of football players, you see all the big clubs bending over backwards for top players, instead for us we're trying to chuck Ghilas, Simpson, Oli and McShane
you said it yourself...... TOP PLAYERS!!!..... I don't think any of the afore mentioned fit into that category
Thought most people said don't go back? For me I'd rather look somewhere else, we could get someone free of equal ability.
More to the point Blame Paul Dufferman who agreed those contracts. And some people moan about the quality of Messrs Hughes, Doyle, ***an and Folan. At least they were cheaper.
Yes they were compared to the overall cost of the others. plus, I would have Folan over Simpson any day of the week.
Agreed. Another bad Brown move letting Doyle go. Like Ryan France (when fit) Doyle could run all day long. Agree on ***an also. We have had him twice. That ship has well sailed into history.
Hughes and Folan were a vital part of a team that got us promoted, complain about their quality all you like but without them (especially Folan 8+ goals off the bench) we wouldn't have been promoted.
Doyle could barely get a game for us in the Championship, he didn't have a prayer of getting game time in the Premier League, letting him go wasn't a bad move at all. He wasn't good enough for us, he wasn't good enough for Barnsley, he's now 25 he'll be in League One next season.
I thought he played pretty regularly for them and my guess was that he didnt sign a new deal because he wanted to go somewhere better, not because they didn't want him. If he wasn't good enough for Barnsley as you say, then my previous comment about him being a possible target for us probably needs retracting!
