Steven Gregory has signed for Gillingham, not who I expected but what do you think. His contract was canceled by Bournemouth last month when he returned from his loan at Wimbledon, I have to admit I don't know much about him, I know he is a midfielder but what is he like if you know anything about him and how good is he. http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/article/gregory-transfer-story-jan-2-575305.aspx
not exactly setting my world alight this one released by Bournemouth around about two weeks ago and not exactly a lot of experience in the football league for someone 25 years of age ? just hope he's not instead of wright and vincealot or a frecklington rebound come to that
I have a feeling that we may have signed him instead of Wright as we may not be able to get him, I can't see us getting anymore midfielder unless any leave.
Where did you hear that as it would be good to know from them as he was their recently and with this being the same league it would help to know. He does have some experience in League 1 as he did play for Bournemouth so he has got to have something about him. I have to say a lot of good players seem to fail at Bournemouth and do well elsewhere, look at Matt Tubbs, Wes Thomas and also Adam Barrett, the list is endless. Barrett was not rated highly by them but he is brilliant. Wes Thomas is top class and he is doing well on loan at Blackpool he can't get in a League 1 Bournemouth but he is OK in the Championship. Matt Tubbs is brilliant, he was great for Crawley and I don't think he has many for Bournemouth as they hardly play him, he has like 5 goals for them.
I see on Twitter that one AFC fan is not very happy, she is gutted that he has joined us and really thought that he was going to join us, I think she thought that when he was released that is so that he could join them. They feel let down but this does show one good thing that they rated him highly which is good.
No risk signing IMO. If he's any good then cheap signing if he's crap I'm sure we can just release him
I have a feeling that Martin Allen was watching him when AFC played Franchise United in the FA Cup last month, but I hear he missed a sitter, however from the look at his stats he is not a scorer and if he is a holding midfielder they usually aren't scorers.
time for a take on this one from an AFC fan who comes on our forum a few times a month...over to you Bernadette ???
I wouldn't take too much notice of what Wimbledon fans say. They thought kedwell was a good goal scorer but we know different
Hoadie - thanks for promoting the thread. However, in the politest sense calm down. The board has had absolutely loads of hits today and I do appreciate your efforts but unlike when it is quiet, half dozen posts from the same poster on the same thread in busy periods has adverse affects. I've been really busy elsewhere on the site tonight, so appreciate your help.
We need someone instead of Vincelot as his loan period has ended and he's gone back to Brighton. http://www.kentonline.co.uk/kentonline/sport/2013/january/2/romain_vincelot.aspx
Good old 'RON' on there, I would love to know if he is employed by KM group, wonder if I could find out as my mums cousin is manager of KMFM which makes him my second cousin, would be nice to know if they pay him.
The 'no swearing' policy of this board prevents me from expressing my candid views on the thought that anyone might actually be paid to produce the 'comments' that are attributed to 'RON'
Berni - people were not suggesting it was you. We know who the AFC Wimbledon fan is in question. I think people just wanted your views on Gregs?
correct brb...i'm glad someone has an open mind just asking for your view of Gregory when he was with afc Wimbledon and what position he likes to show his stuff best in ?.....over to you berni
How many midfielders do we need? I agree Wright was / is a desirable addition but Gregory....who? What does that mean for Payne or Jackman?
