He's past it. Roy Hodgeson is a manager who talks a good game, but when it cones to it, won't start Lallana, gives Lambert only 5 min over two games, and sticks with the same old dross like Rooney and Gerrard.

I bloody hope he retires from international football. He must see that he's not up to it and he's a terrible captain. Players don't take any notice of him, even though half of them are his club teammates.

He's a flat track bully. Score a goal against San Marino, look a total fool in the Euro's or WC Finals.

I am not a fan of Rooney but I felt he played well today. Welbeck was rubbish though

Tried to get the classic Partridge cone-tract scene up, but BBC had blocked it on YouTube, the ****ers.

I do sometimes wish people would control their language for special occasions. I suppose CBK would argue that this is a special occasion. I do think he is a little free with his typing. To me it says more about the poster than the subject he's referring to. However, we do have a swear filter.

    It's just a word.

What difference is there really to me calling him a "berk" or a "****" ??

Rooney done OK but the difference was Suarez is in the form of his life and took his two chances while Rooney (aside from the header which was unlucky) scored one chance and missed the other chance which he should have scored. Otherwise it was two average teams, just one had a world class striker in form, while we had Rooney.

If he does retire it will be more than 2 years too late.

He's just had a really good season, wouldn't say he's past it, just not as good as he used to be.

Because some people object to your selective use of language and you might have a little respect for your fellow posters objections. I don't really have a problem with words but I assume that some people might have. Therefore I'm not carefree with my typing unless really called for. For example, my utter astonishment earlier that Wayne Rooney actually managed to score. Besides, the F word has broken a barrier that the C word has still to breach. And some people would prefer that it didn't.

Also berk, is a far softer insinuation, and perhaps a bit more accurate in this case. Gerard made an error. The World didn't end.

It is just word, but if somebody called me a berk I wouldn't mind. If somebody called me the C word I would find it really repugnant. It's about the worst you can call someone
