Chelsea fans in particular have a love/hate or even just a hate opinion of Gerrard. Too often arguments about Gerrard vs Lampard have overshadowed the fact that Gerrard has been a fantastic player and one that I would have loved at Chelsea. Now ,probably for 20 million good reasons a season, he's off to LA Galaxy or another US Club, and good luck to him. Just hope he's not loaned back to City , though Arsenal could really use him !! Seems like US Clubs will become the default retirement choice for the better ex PL players, unless City get involved !
They should loan him back to you, you could do with another cart horse to bring on if Mikel picks up a knock
There are no cart horses at Chelsea now that Torres is gone, although we did have a little pony last season. Besides when they retire, our players wont finish up as Irish hamburgers like Shergar.
Wouldn't that be brilliant if he moved to City and they win the title with Gerrard in the squad. Scouse fans would be spitting blood.
Wasn't Stephen Gerrard thinking of moving to Super Chelsea about 10 years ago? Then he got death threats from the Red Scouser 'faithful' and thought better of it? Or am I dreaming it up?
