Would be my top target, hope Martin is a fan. You get a abit of everything from Fletcher he's almost like two strikers in one. He's 6'1 great in the air but he's also got a bit of pace and a cracking left foot and an eye for goal.

    I agree, I think he's the man.

Could see him and Frazier complimenting eachothers play as well.

i suggested this in several threads and all i get is we must aim higher than this ,well i glad you see what i see a good industrious player with a good work rate and the ability to score goals ,same goes for doyle , i dont like lazy
forwards as this puts pressure on the rest of the team, i would be delighted with him signing

I've seen this opinion a lot as well mate, and I simply don't understand it.

A Premier League proven striker, with work ethic, excellent goals per game ratio, and who would likely see us as a fantastic move!

How anyone can see a negative in this lad, is beyond me, he is close to perfect.

We simply cannot sign a top end euro striker, so a proven Premier League performer is a perfect fit.

I don't understand if this lad is so good why don't teams outside of relegation candidates go for him ? What don't they see that a lot on here obviously do ?

It's not as simple as that though mate, is it?

We have to look at the most capable striker within our reach, and this lad fits the bill.

Is he the style of striker to suit a top club? No

Does his style suit us? Yes.

We won't be the only club interested, and he will continue to score goals, in the Premier League, for whoever next season.

It's almost snobbery for people to turn their nose up at the lad, with a 1-in-3 career record across 250+ games.

The service he'd get here is better as well, meaning more chance, as the original article points out, he has the HIGHEST chance conversion rate in the league, even higher than RVP!

What does the lad need to do to get some respect? AND he's only 25, not close to his peak yet.

Ha, we'll all agree on that <ok>

Maybe if he changes his name to Stefan Fletcherino and we pay £12million for him he'll be alright...

and that's the problem MM, lots think that unless he comes from abroad and costs 10 mil plus he is rubbish, Mr Moyes at Everton has built team after team on these type of players

    Prime example Syd.

A certain Jelavic was linked and people (I include myself in this one mind) weren't interested as he played in Scotland.

Oh how we could have used him, smashing player.

Yakubu would be another one. Get both of them in, wont be too expensive IMO. one to replace Bendy, one additional.

Funny thing about those stats is that they are for Clear Cut chance conversion (i take clear cut to mean "easy" goals to take). If you look at Bendtner, he has the worst clear cut conversion (18%) but only 28.5% of his goals have been Clean Cut, which could show that Bendtner is the best player to have in your team if you are not creating as many clean cut opportunities. 70% of Fletchers goals have come down to clear cut opportunities. The "worst" are Bent, Kuyt and abebayor whose goals have ONLY been from clear cut opportunities.

I'd love Fletcher for competition in our side, vastly underrated.
Better chance conversion than Papiss ?!?!

SKP wasn't a proven Prem striker until given the opportunity.

Fletcher will suit us much more than Bendtner does, not comparing the two players Im just saying Bendtner isnt suited to our playing style whereas Fletcher is. Hopefully another striker will come in also.

I'm sure I read/heard he has scored 7 goals with his head alone or something. (Could be wrong mind)

Someone to get on the end of McClean's crosses for once?
