Yes, I'm giving Steven Davis his own thread and I don't care. Overlooked by some, totally ignored by some more, but most of us know he's a vital cog in the engine. But he's injured his hamstring:

Sorry for him and NI, but slightly pleased for Saints. He's got nearly two weeks of the best care possible at Southampton FC. I wouldn't trust him anywhere else.

He'll be gutted, but it hopefully means we can count on at least two (I include Jack Cork) midfielders for the Villa game.

Yep. Heard Matty making a comment yesterday that he popped down to Staplewood and found Cork and Bertrand kicking a ball around. He felt sorry for them. So did I until I manned up :)

Davis can keep them company once he's allowed out of the treatment room.

Yeah, but I decided to give Stevo a thread. He deserves a bit of proper attention. You watch people bypass it without comment when they read the title. :)

We seem to be awash with Morgan and Jay threads at the moment so it seems only fair.

It would be amazing, nothing short of miraculous really, if NI qualify for the European championship, I was cheering for then. Missing Davis is a huge blow for their chances.

Agree Davis is class, but didn't think he was his usual self v Leicester. Good job we have Cork, Reed et al. Think could be a good time for Reed to get some game time against Villa. Anyone know when Isgrove is back?

Agreed. I mentioned that at the weekend. Have a feeling he may have been carrying that injury for a while. Frankly, I'm surprised he wasn't badly injured after Crouch took a bite out of him, during the League Cup match. Every time I see that tackle I wince.
