Excellent move. It'll also be interesting to see how Nigel gets on without his two amigos with him. I thought Walshy and Shako might have joined him at some point in the near future but it looks as though that ship has sailed.
To be quite frank I think people are over-hyping Walsh. How many super-star hidden gems did he uncover in his time with us? They found Mahrez, Kante was relatively hot property already so that ones not exactly the same, but apart from that what does he have to show for himself?
Jamie Vardy. Him, Mahrez and Kante for £7.5m is pretty solid business. As for us, what about Rosie? Or did he write to the club asking for trail? (rings a bell)
Wouldn't really call Rosie a hidden gem but each to their own. I look at what Soton has achieved consistently over a number of years and take more stock from that.
Well he was without a club and then became a huge fans favourite that most people were up in arms about when he left.
McShane was a huge fan favourite too. I thought Rosie was more because his Nan was from the area and had a desire to play here until he retired, rather than any sort of amazing football ability.
He was a laughing stock who slowly turned round the jeers to cheers. His lack of ability remained the same though.
Chester and Brady. Plus he had **** all money to play with. Nigel steadied a ship heading into stormy waters when he was here. His back room staff assisted immensely.
