I was a bit concerned this might happen. I don't think he'd go to Pearson now as it will probably be to a club in the championship, but a big team might well tempt him. Hopefully just paper talk.

... you never know.. we'd have to at least match his offer from Arsenal (which won't be a problem) then comes down to what the individual wants in terms of challenge / location etc ... but no man is bigger than the club and there may well be a worthy apprentice waiting in the wings ..
Would have liked to keep him at least until February if true, especially given our position. A few Walsh signings during January may give us the edge pushing on into the second half of the season. Would be odd if he did leave, would show that he would have no interest in waiting/working for Pearson.
