http://www.walesonline.co.uk/footballnation/football-news/2012/07/17/91466-31406565/? If Chaulker was available to return (purely on loan) should we have him or concentrate on buying our own player (s)
Take him. He knows our style and we can't guarantee we won't be so fortunate with injuries this season. Bit of competition in the back 4 will be good too.
The headline is almost directly at odds with the tone of the article. Caulker is actually saying he wants to stay at spurs and (if all fails) then *maybe* he'd have to come back here on loan. So we can forget this one I think. Just lazy journalism and the wish to sell newspapers before they're used for fish and chips.
Can't use newspapers any more due to Health and safety and no good for toilet paper ,other than that what use are they ? My slant on it is we can bring in loan players and he knows us and we know him so I'd say yes, this will give the new boys more time to adapt to our way . Wishful thinking probably but a bit of a strange comment all the same as he's just signed a new deal and has had a chance to speak to AVB .
He was probably asked a direct question, "would you ever consider a move back to Swansea". What else could he say?
No , I want to stay and fight for a place in the squad I'm good enough and proved it last year (but thats me putting words into his mouth obviously)
But that would not be keeping his options open. One thing agents drum into their players is not to close off avenues.
He's hardly going to do an interview as a spurs player saying he doesn't think he can make the team so he might as well go back on loan. He's within his rights to want to challenge for a spot at his club. He's just not closing the door on a return if AVB doesn't need him this year. Let him come, competition would be good for Chico and Williams.
