Ian Holloway "Not sure we can offer Steve a deal to match what he is on. We were very lucky last season as we only had to pay 25% of his wages, but he's on Premiership wages and we are not a Premiership club" Probably a bargain for us at £5k per week - would like to thank Leeds for picking up his extra £15k per week - no wonder they're skint
The £5,000 probably paid Matt Smiths wages who scored many more goals and is a much better player so carry on please.Although the million you spent on Lowry and Keogh only to now give them away was not great
So Leeds got rid of Becchio (had a contract until June 2014) in exchange for Morison and then promptly loaned him to us. Effectively paying out £ 2 million (on the books) and paying him 15k a week to play for us..... thank you GFH, you come a very close second to Captain Bates as one of the most admired owners of Leeds United (according to a MORI poll conducted in Sarf London) maybe the new Leeds owner Signor Cellino will now attempt to win the only trophy that is reasonably feasible for a club with no ambition - The Soppiest Bollocks Award - by attempting to offload Morison to Millwall with a promise to pay all his wages plus giving the Lions a massive 'golden handshake' for taking him. These yorkie boys are very generous people, thank you so much for giving so graciously
From where im sitting they paid 15k per week to give Norwich Becchio and us Morison and then paid hunt 22k per week to fill the gap
Hopefully only for a short term loan mate I like the Leeds, Millwall, City threesome, and hope it will be a good one this season
Smith replaced Becchio,Warnork was very clever on this one, must have known Becchio was going to hit the wall with his goal scoring and go 18 months without a goal.
Chesh, I suggest you go and get yourself checked out.........for Alzheimers !!! from my research on this issue the timeline is as follows, Becchio hands in a transfer request Quote" Both bids have been rejected and the player will only be allowed to leave in the event that an acceptable offer is received " Leeds reject offer Steve Morison in swap for Becchio (the acceptable offer) so you swapped Becchio for Morison, then a few months later subsidised The Wall for a whole season (@ 15k a week) when you loaned Morison to us, and then had to bring in Matt Smith as a replacement for Morison Becchio to Morison to Smith................can you see a trend developing ??????
thick in t'arm..........soft in t'head is another expression that comes to mind..........quite descriptive.....suitably apt..........definitely generic - West Yorkshire springs to mind
Trigger one of yours m8. between S/London and Yorkshire no wonder us in Cheshire look so smart. PS. t'arm ? are you a Yorkshire man living in S/London.
