With all the huffing and puffing, comings and goings we have all suffered for the last 3 months, what a difference how this signing has happened,I believe it is all down to what is in this one sentence, have a read.... ' Majority shareholder and former chairman Lansdown flew in from his home in Guernsey to personally oversee the signing of Davies and will next try to persuade DJ Campbell to commit his future to Ashton Gate.' More please Steve Lansdown it's obvious they need you... Oh and just to say,Tom Heaton,Mark Wilson,Greg Cunningham,Jody Morris,Paul Anderson,Steve Davies and possibly DJ Campbell is a terrific show of your support for Bristol City.... So it's not all bad news a big thankyou...... http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bris...sixth-summer/story-16739717-detail/story.html
I remember reading that SL sent his personal helicopter to Scunny to get Woolford. I would have sent a taxi or a National Express ticket.....
I heard it was a nice finish and I tip my hat to the man for that. My comments were based on performances since his signing. I am more than happy to be proved wrong though and certainly have no axe to grind with anyone who does the business for the team. Just on a consistent basis would be nice.
He's been looking sharp in pre-season, and although off the pace at Forest he seems to have an extra assurance. A proper pre-season can work wonders. Wooly was very highly regarded up north when we signed him, and tipped to go all the way. We could be about to find out why...
Different gravy tonight - the Millen regime destroyed his confidence but it looks he has got his mojo back and has a point to prove...
Del obviously rates him and as far as I'm concerned, he knows way more than me! Seems that everyone's tails are up this evening - what a nice feeling!
I've always thought there was something about him, you watch him sometimes his passes look wayward but it's because he is thinking where the player should be running into. He lost confidence when he joined, crowd got on his back and I believe he preferred playing away. Someone told me when he signed, his ability is his footballing brain Loved that chip, I thought he was going to round the goalie but it was sublime
Got t say that was his best game for city outstanding. Humble pie tonight,he played well at forest as well.
"One Martyn Woolford, used to be ****e and now he's alright" great chant from the East End tonight...
