He's now on £1.5m a year, those chicken pluckers are seriously ****ed up.* *Now say that quickly. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/nov/23/blackburn-rovers-steve-kean-contract
Holy ****ing **** cow. I'm going to apply for the Blackburn job once Kean finally gets the boot, I should get it, I've got the experience of taking Hull City to winning all the FA Cup, League Cup, Premier League, Champions League, Super Cup and World Club Championship for 3 seasons consecutively, and won the World Cup twice and Euros once with England, all on FM 2010. And many achievements liek this on the previous games. Do you think it will make a good enough CV?
"The fact that the owners have talked to me about a new contract means that they can see what we are building here, and we hope to make others see it too." We can all see what you are building - a championship club next season!!
For sure there'll be more than this than just the headlining figure - must surely be a results based deal and also I would suspect a much smaller pay-off as and when they fire the b**ger
I think you would have a similar grin if you had just screwed another wad of money out of the Chicken pluckers. Anyhow maybe this for them is a poultry sum of money.
In all honesty though, if they're not going to sack him, it's not too bad an idea. It's more of an incentive for him to get down and fix it for a last chance - if he gets sacked soon he'll end up with less, if he turns it round and keeps the job he'll end up with more. Maybe something like this could have been more effective with Phil Brown and maybe increased bonus to the players, rather than replacing him with Iain Dowie.
