Is my memory dysfunctional or does Steve Jordan usually announce as the teams are coming onto the pitch " xxxxxx and Hull City!!" Then for the second half "please welcome back - Hull City!!" Today, in both instances, he said The Tigers. Is it my memory playing up? If not, our name is being taken away by stealth, as though City is now a banned word.

That's exactly what happened your memory is fine. I noticed it too. The name Hull City is being completely removed from use wherever possible.

The big screen said Hull City when I looked but I know it has said that before and changed later on, presumably when Allam noticed and told someone off.

All season he has said the Tigers when they come out, but I noticed when he first spoke and introduced Palace's team, he said Hull City.
