Hi all, I' m new to this forum, I go to all Saints home games & get to as many away games as I can afford. This season has been something to savour & I feel there's a lot more to come from our wonderful squad of players if we all stick together through thick & thin. We always have very good vocal support both home & away, I just wish that people would sing songs at a slower tempo so that eveyone could get involved, we'd be soo much louder! It would also be good to come up with some new songs, which is why I've decided to post this thread. As Steve De Ridder's starting to settle in & show what he's all about I think it's about time we had a proper song for Steve De Ridder rather than just 'Steeeeeeevvvveee'! On our way back from Reading a couple of weeks ago we started to drunkenly sing this song which if everyone sung in unison it would not only be very loud but also totally original & fitting to our electric winger; To be sung to the tune of Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire 'He plays on the right wing, he's faster than lightning, his names Steve De Ridder...De Ridder.......Woooooooooooah De Ridder's on fire.........Woooooooooooooooah De Ridder's on fire' That's it, simple, catchy & totally original, now get singing it!

Chaplow said that de Ridder likes his Steeeveee chant and Nigel mentioned it as well. And we won't forget the words.
When you have been to lots of games you'll realise we Saints fans are a simple lot who need easy things to sing/chant. Took me weeks to get Ricky's song, couldn't handle this one. Nice try though, and keep posting!
I thought we had a de ridder song ages ago, it was to the tune of mario balotelli's at man city went something like First line was definately...... Steven De Ridder, he's a winger he's f***ing class. Then something to do with him having mayo on his chips and putting their left back on his ar**. That was the last line. Wasn't there a European match with a player called Alan. Fans loved it (English fans are simple folk) and kept calling out his name and cheering him when he touched the ball.
