Derbys top scorer last season. I don't know a lot about him to be honest but his valuation appears to have already put Ipswich off.
positive news, apart from watfords multiple signings and the odd player going to forest and birmingham all is very quiet on the transfer front, so give a little patience!
Davies is a left winger / striker, we have just bought Anderson who can play right or left. Get Davies on the Left Anderson on the right, Skuse and Morris or take your pick from the others in the middle with Stead and hopefully Baldock up front I will leave it to all your imagination how we will fund these plus a central defender which Del knows we need. But got to be honest selling Adomah (not fact just speculating) to get all these players would put us in a good position.
True as I said just speculating. But our past signings have come out of the blue, these are press related transfers
#dcfc striker Steve Davies set for talks with Bristol City tonight. Conor Sammon deal to Derby should go through this week #bcfc As tweeted by a Daily Telegrapth journalist
This is a tweet from Steve Davies lat night at 9pm taken from Derby's Forum Steven Davies ‏@stevedavies2410 Big day ahead tomorrow. Time for bed. More info more you tomorrow x This is what the Derby fans think of him http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/topic/9179-steve-davies/page__st__880
Hey guy's,the Evening Post is reporting the Steve Davies news, days after everybody else, after all it is the local paper.....nothing changes... http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bris...triker-Steve/story-16734551-detail/story.html
Dont think its days after everyone else Wiz. Del said nothing on this one weeks ago and everyone thought we were still after Baldock. This one started again following a tweet yesterday. I have read the Derby fans view on him and have to say he looks good, down side is the money which I think (my thoughts not the clubs) that Pitman could be involved in this deal somewhere But on a plus side we might still get DJ Campbell as well at the moment
Steven Davies‏@stevedavies2410 Thanks for everyone for the goodluck messages. Was tough to leave but had too. Thanks so much. #thankyou ....
Here are some extracts from the profile of our new signing in BEP. "In October that year (2007) Davies was sidelined after sustaining a knee injury during a match against Northampton Town. He was forced to undergo surgery after scans confirmed he had cruciate knee ligament damage....The player did not return to the pitch until April 2008.........In March 2009, just as he was starting to enjoy regular first-team football, Davies was ruled out for the rest of the season with a broken foot........The 21-year-old suffered a hairline fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his right foot, and had to undergo an operation......Davies was again plagued by injury in 2010, spending time on the sidelines with an ankle problem in addition to a hamstring injury. He was restricted to just seven starts in the Championship for Derby that term, and had to undergo surgery on his ankle in April.....In July 2010 Davies suffered yet another injury woe, being ruled out for six months after damaging cruciate knee ligaments in training.....in October 2011 Davies’ career was almost ended when he sustained a head injury during County's top-of-the-table Championship match against Southampton. It was thought the 23-year-old had suffered a routine depressed fracture of his skull. But the injury was far worse, and he needed a five-hour operation to repair the damage. The surgeon rebuilt Davies' smashed skull by inserting 10 metal plates held together by 22 screws." Welcome to.........the new Steve Brooker. A player everyone knows has talent but can't stay fit for more than 2 minutes. With our luck recently with loaned in strikers he may not make it to the end of the Palace game (assuming he is OK through the whole of the warm up). The club physio must have been looking forward to an easy season when Ribiero left but is now likely to be busier than ever.....
