@AndyStockhausen 3m3 minutes ago Steve Cotterill told journalists that nothing is imminent in terms of players coming into the club this month.. That is all we wanted to hear..
I saw Bigjohn tonight, standing at the front of the Dolman, to far to say hello. Also saw Shiny So I took a photo of him, for others to spot him
Apart from Williams there's no one in our squad I could start in the starting XI With no additions, including loanees we are ****ed
Not a bloody clue with our mangement but I do expect the usual sick smug grin from SL and possibly the usual lame excuses from SC straight from the Acme boook of poor football teams.
More of SC's ramblings here "Preston made six changes tonight and that is something we are unable to do. We simply don't have the numbers to be able to do that. "It has been a problem since May and we are now trying to do a year's recruiting in a month. We played a Premier League side at the weekend and that leads to fatigue when the players have to go again. "The players gave their all. What they didn't give, they left on the pitch on Saturday." It's all well and good stating the bleeding obvious but it's not good continually bleating about it However I fear its already way too late. I said months ago that no one would want to come here if we were bottom 3 in January, The best we can do is a 3rd Division goalkeeper, and only because Fielding is injured. Sums us up I'm afraid.
http://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/article/equaliser-should-not-have-stood-cotterill-2898066.aspx My favourite one liner this time.. “Even though we were dead on our feet we still played better football than they did tonight. Unfortunately we were on the wrong end of the scoreline. Sorry, heard it before somewhere..
Sorry, heard it before somewhere.. Yeah, after virtually every game. I still can't see the point in sacking SC now though. The damage has already been done because of our inability to see the gulf in class between L1 and the Championship. We'll just need to suck it up and accept the inevitable.
What can he say?. They messed up pre season transfers and now as we are in the bottom three nobody wants to come . The only choice now is to grin and bare it and hope we avoid the drop. Last night showed that the table does not lie. We are sadly have little quality in team. To me it was evident last season where we got away with it in many games and ending up winning a very mediocre league. Next season is another day.
The table hasn't lied since we lost at Sheffield Wednesday in August. We have been woefully and criminally ill equipped as a squad to successfully compete at this level since the off and everyone knows it, most of all those supposedly in charge of the football club know it as they are the reason behind this abject season. The facts are borne out that we've won just 4 league games since August.
I said a few games ago.......3 I think.....that I was on the fence with SC, but I am now slowly leaning to the " thanks for the good times, but turn the light off when you leave" side now. Boro up next and I just can't see anything other than an away win there...and by a good margin I should think. I hoped we may have taken something from a spirited performance at WBA but that was obviously not the case. I know people keep saying "Oh its not that bad, its only half way through the season" or "we are only a few points adrift and a few wins on the spin will sort it" and they are right, but can anyone honestly see a few wins on the spin? can anyone really see us improving in the second half of the season? The manager has just said there are NO new faces on the cards, the squad is so thin the ground we cant fill the bench and the players he has to pick are dead on their feet. There are players he could play but chooses not to....El-Abd got rave reviews at Swindon.....the whole loan saga is a complete mystery...Simon Cox????....and he appears too darn stubborn to attempt a change of tactics. A stuffing from Boro will be it from me, and I feel, a lot of others as well. We are currently heading in one direction I am afraid........
Neutral view you have not changed the way you play think teams have Sussed out the way you play. Noted last night you are still playing virtually the same side as last season. You need some new blood in the side whether Cotts needs to go maybe but that's for your Chairman to make up his mind about. Tough times for your guys but good luck for the rest of the season keep the faith folks
You guys will survive,us we are dead men walking,i blame the circus at the top for our situation,Cotterill is in a corner because of the inability to recruit pre season. However he is not helping himself with the way he sets up,Saturday will be a pasting by Borough, time to salvage something whilst we have a chance,Bring in another guy with fresh ideas i say. otherwise we are finished in the championship.
Wow......that is going to open a can of woop ass for Cotts. Audio isn't great, but he can be clearly seen and heared swearing at the fan(s) who were giving him far worse.
Suck it up my friend, but don't lose your cool with the fans. Very unprofessional. Do you expect the team be clapped off after another abject result and dreadful first half performance. People get understandably frustrated when we only win a league game every 6 weeks or so.
That was my first thoughts JGF.....played it a few times and he says something along the lines of "we did pass it f-ing forward" after someone shouts about passing it forward from the stand.
