In some ways a risky appointment as his track record in the Championship is patchy at best, but he was on Harry's staff, so already knows the club and the players, so there's an element of continuity there that could be valuable. As always, time will tell, but I think he'll at least keep them up.
I wish SC all the best - except for when they play us of course! I will always be thankful to him for delivering us out of league 1 in style. Birmingham seem to be our latest bogey side - it doesn't seem to matter how ****e they are they always beat us!!!
Who will be the first one on here to use this as another post to beat LJ with? I should start a poll, that seems to be the done thing of late
Well done SC will definitely do a job at Brum. SC and LJ i wonder if they will shake hands when they meet at the gate
You clearly did not watch sky when LJ and SC just blanked each other at a game.very strange both love city, yet it was if one thought the other was not there.
That handshake thing me nothing, LJ didn't shake the hand of the sky sports presenter either. What's to say that LJ and Cotts didn't shake before off screen? **** for all we know they might of even cupped each other's balls. Not saying they did shake, cup or even talk. But why must every one assume that they don't like each other.
He gave me my most unexpected trip to Wembley and I wish him the best until he falls afoul of the table.
Agree - but for me i am still bemused by how badly he did following promotion. Let's not dress it up; he was awful. Same formation 3-5-2 every game, deploying subs on 85 minutes, getting Simon Cox in and not playing him - and what were those insane bids for Andre Gray and Dwight Gayle all about? It was right that he was sacked - and the justification was that we were turned around immediately when Pemberton started to play 4-4-2 with the same squad which was losing every week under Cotts.
Hmmm. Not a good start. Game not even over yet. Stick with him Brummies - he is the MASTER of getting promoted from League 1........ Totally lost in the championship though. Really strange.
he felt his input was the reason they stayed up ! so by leaving he left Harry to sink, and came back to do the job for himself! mindyou 6-1 for the first game back, although you are not the "manager" on the day is nice welcome, in reality they should have been relegated and cotts would then have been soaring along at the top of Div 1
In fairness to Woy, that run of games he's had to deal will. I don't think you could pick harder opponents. I would of kept De Boar to at least get through a run of games that they've no chance. His confidence must be shot.
even after the break he will be up against it home to Chelsea and WHU and in between away to Newcastle! Tottenham and Everton follow these, first respite might be Stoke... a draw! a record 12 games without a point! AND YOU JUST HOPE IT ISNT A 0-0 DRAW!
