A great interview and it honestly does fill me with confidence that we have the right man in charge and he's the one to take us up. You can't help but like Cotterill and from this interview you can tell we have a very close bunch of players and coaching staff. Which is probably the most important thing for a successful team. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29383125
Back to the thread now children! I was wrong last December about his appointment. Should we not go places where we all want and believe that we should be, it will not be for want of trying by Steve Cotterill. I really do feel that we are on verge of something exciting at Bristol City.
I think it just needed a tweak in the overall attitude department from those higher up the food chain and perhaps some of SC's predecessors just sat back and accepted the crumbs that were thrown their way. That is no way to run a football club that claims to want success and perhaps SC told the management that wouldn't accept second best and they supported him apparently and the results so far bear out that scenario. If and when the going get's tough, or looking forward even further to when we rise back to the Championship, it will be interesting to see if the status quo becomes acceptable again or whether we will continue the rebuild necessary to survive at the higher level and maintain a challenge for further success. Time alone will tell but the current positivity from all sectors is a wonder to behold and enjoy.
I will admit to being disappointed initially, but the enthusiasm he displays is 100% genuine-Top guy and I think we are more in danger of losing him to a bigger club than anything else-
I must admit, i wasn't jumping out of my chair when SC was appointed and thought at the time it was another cheap option. But so far I am happy that I was wrong and glad to see a breath of fresh air to the club. He seems a top guy and love his enthusiasm for the job. Great passion and what seems like a good motivator It's of course very early in the season to get too excited and the test will be when we hit a drop in form and to see what the players are made of if we hit a bad spell... SC will make mistakes but the mark of a good manager is being able to learn from them.. All good so far, lets keep it going..
Back to the interview, did any one actually SEE Twentyman,a very dark location. If any one wants a copy of the interview e-mail me direct [email protected]
OneFor Verbatim. 'SC will make mistakes' - his only mistakes so far have come with his substitutions. His starting 'elevens' have been faultless.
