Surprised to see Steve Coppell turn up at Crawley Town as Director of Football........I'm sure he could of done better than that.

He never ever did a job just for the money. He doesn't need to. Seems he might end up manager rather than Director of Football whatever that means these days.

How are things at home Plymborn? I feel you must be under stress; I felt sure when I opened this thread that you'd be suggesting Coppell should come to Home Park. Or are you working up to that?

Well the man has a proven track record notDistant...........just surprised to find him turning up at a Gatwick dormitory town.......not quite the moron that Evans was.

I would have loved him to come to PAFC........but that would have upset the anti-Man U contingency.

He did have stress problems earlier in his Management career......but he seemed to have got over that......a really decent fellow, with a lot going for him.

Things going well with Mrs Plymborn, getting stronger each day.....still taking a lot of painkillers at the moment......not stopping her doing her exercises and we've walked 150 yards at one go.

Genuinely pleased things are going well at home.

I agree Coppell is a great bloke, did well at Crystal Palace & Reading, clubs I suppose it wouldn't be grossly over-ambitious to think we ought to be able to emulate. He also seems to have an unusual level of integrity for football!

Don't think we'll ever see him at Home Park unfortuntely, unless it's in the away dugout.

You can get to anywhere in the world from just down the road from Crawley,no need to walk at all.
