Apparently hes resigned out of respect to Kenny!

What are your thoughts about this?

Don't think this will happen, there will be changes the Valero stuff seems to have substance and we are bound to have some new people in before next season.

He's resigned. He would have gone anyway as new manager equal new back room staff

He has left the club which is understandable.

With Xavi Valero coming back, who was one of Rafa's original staff members, can we see Rafa coming back?

I have no idea. But if clarke did resign then it doesn't quite sit with the fenway park photo's does it? Its mildly interesting but in the end we've an ambitious guy wanting to be a manager himself. I think he may well have taken the view that if now dynasty was established at anfield with kenny handing reins over then he's off.

I don't think the owners would like to deal with Rafa after the other americans and his actions at inter, not appealing to owners

According to the BBC he has, that's very annoying - he had done wonders to our defence

"Steve Clarke, Dalglish's assistant, has stepped down out of loyalty to the 61-year-old Scot."

The whole thing is an almighty mess. But don't worry...I'm sure AVB will sort the defence <whistle>
