The worst two sides in the division. City the worst home record in the championship Charlton the worst away record. SC so we should have won by 4 or 5 goals, and we battered them,we may have battered them but goals win games, and we cannot score them. Marlon Pack taking a penalty, what was that about,i said before he took it he will miss it. Kodjia needs ten chances before he can score one, does he know what offside is. We go bottom three against undoutably the worst side to visit Ashton Gate this season. We cannot beat a side who we mullered play wise. SC does not change the way we are playing, just keeps trying the same old same old way. We are exactly half way through the season, points wise if you double what we have we would be down. Unless fantastic reinforcements come in, i doubt we will survive the season in the championship. I challenge any individual on here,to tell me how this current team can,or will stay up. Last season we were the dominent team in league one, with probably four or five players, in the league one team of the season. This season not one player would get into the championship team at the halfway mark. Sadly it just shows how big the difference the jump up is.
Almost predictable when you think about it and when you see that Rotherham pounded Bolton today it makes me wonder what will happen when we play them? We knew that last years squad probably wouldn't be up to the task and now we know for sure that this current edition of Bristol City needs to go back to the drawing board. Same thing most seasons and we aren't capable of getting it right, no matter what, and so I think we will be back in League One next season. Ambition - my arse.
It is apparent that Charlton and Bolton are doing down it is just a question of who goes with them. We desperately need a goal scorer. Kodjia for all his faults is the only striker who provides any danger and quite frankly no-one in the midfield will score any goals. Pack miss I think spells the end for him. We have all said it a million times but the January transfer window will decide out future.
Mike are you losing the plot? We played Rotherham a few weeks back and lost 3-0, just before that we played Bolton and drew 0-0 both games was away.
We need to go to 442 and stop fannying about withthe ball, start shooting and having a bit of self belief Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
Maybe they all bottled it taking the penalty, although I knew he was going to miss it which pissed me off no end, fair play to him for stepping up and taking it I say
Pack isn't a Championship player full stop, but all teams miss penalties. If we'd taken one or two of the other 20 chances we created and squandered and put the game to bed like any other half decent team would have done, then we wouldn't be having this almost inevitable inquest,
For the first time this season my belief we can avoid the drop is wavering, not beating Charlton is not acceptable. People will blame SC, however, the players have to shoulder the blame, 18 shots, yet only 2 on target, and a missed penalty is quite simply not good enough. We need a striker to partner Jimmy, one who can play back to back games, Wilbs cannot do this, and Agard is clearly not Champ standard, well not in our side anyway. I have no idea why he persevere with Pack, he is never a Champ player, why not give Bobby Reid an extended run, it's not like results or performances can get much worse by trying something new... Our problem in Jan will be getting a value for money striker that wants to come to a struggling team. Other teams will think we have money to spend after the bids for Gray and Gayle, and try to pull our pants down. From here on in we have to beat all our relegation rivals at home and avoid defeat away, and TBH, I am really not sure if we have the firepower to do it.
Marlon Pack took the penalties at the end of the season if JET was not on the pitch Football is littered with stories of teams who stuff the opposition but don't take their chances and get punished by a late goal
