This is the email I got from Brucie post match: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On another day we might have nicked something Dear Mr SAFC, Chelsea were excellent today and they played the ball fantastically well - thatâs why they play at the level they do. They frustrated us with the possession they had, however, we did have some good chances, but on the day we have to admit that Chelsea were that bit better than us. In the first half there was that wonderful delivery from [Sebastian] Larsson and Nicklas [Bendtner] got a free header, that would have been a fantastic start for us but it wasnât to be. From there we had a couple of good chances to get back in the game - even with all of the possession that they had - but at times some of their football was breathtaking. We found it very difficult to be chasing the ball all afternoon, which you have to do with Chelsea. Overall we stuck at it, we did have a late flurry and on another day we might have nicked something, but we do have to hold our hands up and say we were beaten by the better team. It was nice for Ji Dong-won to get his first goal for the club, although itâs a shame it didnât come 10 or 15 minutes earlier. Weâve got another home game next week and thatâs vitally important to us. Weâve had a bad start in terms of who weâve had to play, weâve picked up a couple of points and now we need to get our first win on the board. Weâll stick together and see it through. If Bruce truly thinks they were just a 'bit better' than us, then the bloke is delusional and desperate as well as hapless. Chelsea didn't even have to try that hard to beat us today and apart from the Bendtner header and Won's late consolation goal, we had nowt to offer. Chelsea were playing training ground games with us for 90% of the game and I think they got bored with us actually.
what i can't understand about bruce is why he takes so long to make changes. We were lucky to be only 1-0 down at half time so why didn't he change it then? It was clear for all to see that if he didn't we would soon be 2-0 down and so it proved. Then he comes out at full time and says we needed that goal to come 15 minutes earlier. Make the ****ing change before the game's out of reach you clueless ****er! The man gets on my tits

Is everyone else not sick of hearing his ****e after games we lose or don't win. I can only see a relegation battle again for the 3rd season in a row here only this time I see a team and manager that see it as well. The writing is on the wall and those of us old enough to have witnessed many such relegation struggles can recognise a ****ed manager and team straight away. I can only hope and pray Quinn and Short can see it too.
