Appointed Chief Operating Officer, with David Joyes as Chief Financial Officer. http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/20121203-bradshaw-joyes-523496.aspx Any thoughts?
Ex chief exec of Col U http://www.cassltd.co.uk/SteveBradshaw.html He quit that job after drink driving http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/colchester_united/8427740.stm
Thoughts? It should bring a bit if calm to those that thought we lacked structure behind the scenes. One promotion from within would suggest he has the position based on merit (though I'm sure the cynics can tell me how I'm wrong on this). As for the former Colu man- know nothing of him, but his CV is decent enough.
Just read the charlton life post on this, you can actually see when that idiot airman brown is dry gagging caught up his own lies and sensationalism. He is desperately trying to still stir up trouble for guys that have only been in their new jobs 24 hrs. What a tool. What I can't understand is if he was unfairly sacked why is he not taking his case to a tribunal? This is the best sacking this club made since Ian Dowie.
It is time to move on from the previous regime and give the new COO and the new CFO a chance.I hope as a Charlton Supporter that they will succeed.
Definitely time to move on and give them a chance. Lets hope they can help us build success off the pitch whilst we are enjoying relative success on it.
It's hare-lip and would not normally be considered a help on life's journey, though like any other deformity or disability it could perhaps become an incentive to over-compensate by becoming very successful. I have just been reading how Tamburlaine was crippled in arm and leg, and he went on to become the biggest mass-murderer in the history of the world (taking into account the then population levels) which is some sort of success, I suppose. Never defeated in battle in his 35 year career, although he was probably fortunate to have avoided Durham Beadles who were in the other half of the draw. Here is a list of notable persons with hare-lips. Let us hope your Mr Bradshaw appears on it one day: http://www.disabled-world.com/artman/publish/famous-cleft.shtml
You are quite right, Eddie. It is a harelip. There is no excuse for this oversight but, in my defence, my mind wondered as I thought back to the wispy bumfluff that Steve carefully cultivated in an attempt to hide his facial deformity. In essence, he had a fluffly harelip. Like a hare. I have actually visited Timur's supposed death site at Otrar. I played Tamerlane chess with my guide - and won!
A good article, Tewks. I like Marozzi, but have disagreed with him many times in the past. In fact, he no longer replies to my emails. For me, the armies of Ramesses II were the greatest.
