I have seen a number of posts suggesting that our part time, one year consultancy based support from self employed motivational speaker/conditioning coach Steve Black, will sort out a multitude of problems - Adel's head etc. I've just noticed one which implies he was more influential on our defensive tactics last season than WALLY DOWNES. Good grief! The testimony from Redknapp and Barton was very positive, and the team spirit in the last 3 games of last season (Morrison's sulky walk off in the semi final first leg aside) certainly showed something had improved. I have devised an easy challenge for Mr Black, and to help the forum gauge his true impact on the team. And Steve doesn't even have to know about the task I have set him, it should be part of his normal duties. Let's see his impact on the player who needs more help than any other: - Shaun Wright Phillips makes the 25 man squad - Shaun Wright Phillips makes 20 first team starts next season - Shaun Wright Phillips scores 5 first team goals next season - the ball goes out of play off Shaun's knee less than 200 times next season Easy to track metrics, an ex England player who's self esteem can only go up (presumably). May be a little unfair as it assumes young Shaun has something inside his head for Steve to work on... It's a shame that Bloody Luke Young has gone, his progress would have been even easier to measure. Luke walks in public without stick, Luke turns up to observe training etc
Wait til we lose a few games this season and funny enough it'll be Harry's fault and not Jonnie Guru's. When we start winning again it'll be down to Jonnie's words of wisdom and fu*k all to do wiv the Manager. This Quack can't believe his luck. Tony's a mug.
Or even better... Shaun Wright-Phillips keeps busier than ever and contributes to the team... cleaning team boots, completing laundry in record time, sweeps gym floor before 7:00am every day.
I find him rather frightfully funny too. I'd ****ing roar out loud if he turned out to be our top scorer next season though!
Funniest on the Board without a doubt IMO. His dry humour has me in stitches half the time. He's best when he's being ever so slightly prodded. A grumpy Stan has the best lines
Perhaps a session with him would do you good too Swords? please log in to view this image please log in to view this image http://www.steveblack.co.uk/
