I'm not being funny Jack but do you seriously expect me to form an opinion of a player through a 3 minute Youtube video ?
Off course not. That's just the customary video. Jovetic first came into prominence on the big stage, was when he slaughtered Liverpool in the CL. He has not kicked on as he should have thanks to injuries and short loss of form, but he is still young and very talented. Also, I do not think he will cost as much as some of the other forwards that are being mentioned.
Jovetic is a good player actually. Wouldn't mind seeing him in an Arsenal shirt. And he looks like Brian May
I'm normally over on the pool boards but I'm a Partizan Belgrade fan, so I know this lad well. He was our captain at 18, scoring goals and just generally being incredible. We are a selling club unfortunately so our talented youngsters have got to go to fund our existence. Jovetić is perhaps the greatest talent to come out of the Balkans in the past 10 years, his positioning and movement are second to none. While he isn't a player who has the ball glued to his feet he is an extremely intelligent player, similar to Dalglish or Henry. He know when to time runs, when to pass, where to go, and he is a very clinical striker similar to RvP. He has a style that I feel would succeed greatly in England and if he were to join you it would be a step up for both you and him. He's shown himself at the CL stage and consistently in the Serie A (in the past year) and were it not for his injury (which he made a full recovery from) he'd be at Barca or Real. I'm still hopeful Liverpool break the bank for him but that's unlikely. If you offered 20 mil it would be a steal.
I'd be delighted with Jovetic, Lewandowski, any forward of that calibre. Together with Podolski and Giroud (and Walcott if he stays) we could have the makings of a great strike force. Although VP's announcement was a blow and of course it would have been great if he'd decided to stay, watching him this season was ruddy terrifying at times; if he got injured, that would have been it for our season and who knows if he'll stay fit again? That said, I'll be worried if we don't sign anyone else. Chamakh and Park as strikers three and four does not really bear thinking about...
