Great prospect but if he isn't good enough for Liverpool's first team then he's not good enough for us.
A little harsh, as he IS only 17, and, correct me if I'm wrong, would be going into a Gerrad style position (currently filled my Mr. G.) They also had Downing, Bellamy and Henderson in their midfield, with Shelvey in reserve; he could learn at QPR!
What's the benefit to QPR? Bring him through and hand him back? If he hadn't come through the youth system we'd not be fussed in the slightest.
Not good enough, if we are going to loan people it has to be someone like Fabio who is better than what we have, not like Macheda or Sterling.
And we don't need any more midfielders, he had his head turned and showed no gratitude to us so **** him.
He's got blistering pace and a great first touch but he is a raw prospect in every sense of the word. Reminds me a lot of taarabt when he first came on loan to us but is a lot more headless chicken-ish. Would be better suited going down to the championship in my opinion
Not that he is available, but I would prefer 18 year old Ross Barkley from Everton (shades of Wayne Rooney) who I believe will develop into a great player under David Moyes.
I don’t see the point. He isn’t going to walk into the first team so if all he will be getting is a few minutes off the bench every so often I’d rather see Andrade or Doughty given that chance. Sure Sterling is better than either of them, but they will improve faster with first team football.
I think the way he left our club was typical of the 'Big I Am' mentality of some of these young players. Whilst he was good he showed no loyalty and would have developed much faster if he'd stayed with us. He's not good enough to improve us now so f*ck him...
I see that Andrade has just signed a contract extension, much better idea..... http://www.qpr.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10373~2857720,00.html? R's youngster Bruno Andrade has penned a one-year extension to his current contract. The versatile attacker has signed a deal until the summer of 2014. Andrade (18) has made one Carling Cup start and three substitute appearances in his time at Loftus Road.
Surprisingly I agree with many of the above He was quick to move away from us and now we are supposed to nurture someone elses talent when we have better options He needs to drop to championship level - like ince jnr at Blackpool - and get regular first team football, which of course he could have had with us originally Not needed now thank you
I would be interested if we had the option to buy him No point taking him back on loan though to play in the reserves
He left us when the Tango & Cash circus was in full swing so don't really blame him for going. Don't want him back though!
Sterling is still just one for the future and it is unsure that he could strenght our team. Papers just write their stories because theres absolutely nothing new about Hoilett.
