Calm down. That's the first thing that springs to mind. Despite the very un-grown-up bile that's been levelled at Rodgers he was an influential Manager for us that delivered Prem football. If you as fans can't be thankful for that then you have memories that last exactly one year to the day.

In football, just like life, people fail, people succeed and they move on, either way. If any of you have worked in the private sector you know this to be true.

But remember this - as much as we have proved to be a stepping stone Club for young, ambitious managers we have also used them as a stepping stone to our current level. Martinez - got us playing 'the right way'; Sousa sorted us out defensively; Rodgers brought in Sinclair and distilled the mix into Prem football.

We should concentrate on what's the next exciting stage for the Swans not what happens to Rodgers or Liverpool. We may not be bigger than them but we're bigger than him. Whoever we appoint, our Board has a fantastic record in that department and we should have little trouble in getting who we want.

If we get my choice - Gus Poyet - will any of you cry for Brighton fans? Of course not. Their fans will be calling him 'Judas' much as ours have turned on Rodgers now. So some of our fans need to grow up a tad imo. Welcome to the Premiership manager-go-round.

Hopefully, we'll get used to it in time. <ok>

    <Yawn>

Surely now is the time to go back to being a Newcastle utd fan ?? Maybe thats why you take such a balanced view, its because you split your loyalty between Swansea and Newcastle therefore always haveing a decent sporting season !! i see the method in your madness KJ <ok>

Surely the next exicting stage is to find a manager that can fit Dobbie into our system ?? have you met him? lovely boy isnt he ! <laugh> .

What the **** do you think goes on in the public sector or are you confirming yourself as a Daily Mail reader?

Why the abuse? If you don't want to comment that's fine but the points I've raised were valid, and as I'm frequently lectured to on here I'm entitled to them. Read that last post again NJ. How old are you exactly? Is it at all possible to have a grown up debate on here any more? <doh>

I've worked in both the public and private sectors for many years. The glass ceiling that exists in the public sector is less obvious privately because you can switch companies. Just like Rodgers just did. :)

Sorry to sh*t on your chips. this isn't the public/private sector , to some (rightly or wrongly ) supporting their club is emotional roller coaster ,some deal with the highs and lows in different ways ,to lay out in black and white isn't that simple but I suppose as public servant you have the advantage of being detached from decisions which affect us mere mortals.

Oh dear. Where did I say I was a public servant? I have worked in both in the past.

Rodgers works in the private sector agreed?

A bigger 'firm' has just come in for him and he's gone. Agreed?

That's the only analogy I was making. Not hard really. My thread was aimed at the rather juvenile hysteria that's going on right now over this departure. Name-calling aimed at a guy who brought Premiership football to our Club is sad in my eyes. If it makes you feel better then knock yourself out but I find hatred a rather negative emotion and we should all be concentrating on the exciting prospect of our new manager.

No chips have been shat on. <ok>

I'm not full of hatred, I'm just really ****ed off. I don't hate anyone (maybe Joey Barton) but I'm allowed to be annoyed by what I think is a complete lack of respect shown to the club who gave him his chance, a platform, and everything else he asked for.

No lack of respect as far as I'm concerned. The guy's repaid us ten times over. We're in the Prem Scott, remember.

See my other post: So what? He took over a club who were as close to the playoffs to the PL as possible so it's not like he did a Lambert and took us all the way from League One. He got us playing well and we had an excellent season last season, but as was said on another thread, there's no point building something up if you leave with no thought for the future of what you've built.

i have no feelings of malice whatsoever towards BR, sure i'm down because i wanted him to stay for another year at least. However lets not loose sight of the good things he brought us. He inherited a championship team that he was able to blend into a premiership one using the best ingredients of his predecessors. He got us playing attractive football that has won us friends the world over and we retained our premiership status with some ease. we always knew the bigger club was a matter of time for him, he could have chosen to retain his one year rolling contract but instead opted to sign a long contract making him less attractive to other clubs and ultimately filling our coffers for a nice 4M+
we need to concentrate on the positive and look forward to who Huw brings in next, every change we've made has been a good one and i'm sure Huw won't disappoint.
nb if BR comes in to pilfer our players i'll gladly retract this and be happy to call him a c@nt

Don't see what difference it makes what political party he supports. He still has a right to comment. It could be worse though, he could be a Labour supporter.

I'll calm down when I'm good and ready oh knackered one, and I'll need no directive from you, who the hell do you think you are to tell other Jacks to calm down, when our beloved manager does the dirty on us after professing not to be interested in the job, and takes 3 backroom staff for good measure, and that's just the start, what will happen with Siggy, Sinclair, etc? so do us a favour and sit down you clown!.......... <ok>

    OK bored now
    sleep-computer-460_1205647c.jpg

    Back on topic.

We will be seen as a stepping stone for a long time yet, but that's not too much of a problem as long as we continue to progress as a club along the way. The Academy & training facilities are the next step - doesn't really matter who the manager is.

Oh me and Phill go way back, valley. Your relationship with casual is just 'young love' by comparison. <laugh>

It's just his pathetic attempt at hijacking. He's really not very good at it.

    You're a class act, Draq-queen. <doh>

Haven't you got a cat or a wife to kick? She's probably used to it. You'll probably say "never liked her anyway" <laugh>

Stop lashing out at posters on here.
