According to the Evening News Harry ReddKnapp has said that Paul Lambert wants Spurs England under 21 defender Stephen Caulker as one of his defensive recruits, but faces competition from Swansea who also want to take him on loan. I think this would be a season-long loan and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the player, especially if there are any Spurs fans that visit this site if they could give us some info on this player, he was loaned out to Bristol City last season Of Lambert's 11 loans, 3 have become permanent signings (R. Martin, McNamee & Johnson)
Caulker was our best player at Bristol City last season - this boy is going to play for England. If Norwich get him (Swansea also sniffing) it would be a good signing.
Definately like the sound of this guy, wouldn't mind him coming here at all. We haven't been linked with him though, have we?
It's now up to Lambert and the coaching team to convince him to come to idyllic rural Norfolk as opposed to the slurry pit that is south Wales

they declared interest in him about a week ago and proberbly have had talks already! I would expect him personally to go to swansea anyway...

I just saw on TalkSport that Caulker is coming to Swansea. I don't know how reliable that is though. On a side note I hope both you and us (Swansea) do well and stay up this season. I have nothing but respect for your side and was glad that it was you who took the 2nd place as we couldn't manage it. Best of luck for the season ahead!
