Anyone know when MS is to make a return, or how serious was his injury.
Not a lot of information coming out from the club regarding his progress,or the extent
of the injury concerned, hopefully it is not a rotator cuff problem,if so he could be
sidelined for up to 3 months.

The reports I've seen said he was recovering from his shoulder injury against Sunderland but then damaged his other shoulder in training. That was over two weeks ago.

I think the latest injury is to the same shoulder that kept himout of the Roma side for quite a while last season.

Seriously, what's the point in signing a keeper with dodgy shoulders? Bearing in mind he must land on them at least once per side every match, if he has a high risk of damaging them on landing then we'll be lucky to see him complete a game a season. Quality keeper but if he is injury prone we need to consider buying in this position in January because if Stockdale gets crocked and Steck is out then we are in trouble.

Quite agree with you Fulhaman, checking out the last couple of years of his
career he has been out of action 30% of that time,
does seem somewhat a risk stratagy in signing him

Perhaps he could have caught the ball at the near post. 1-0 down

I desperately want him fit for next week, I don't hate Stockdale but just think he isn't quite good enough

A report in several sports papers say that MS could be out for several months
with his re accuring shoulder problem,,it definitely sounds like a rotator cuff injury,if this
period of time is being quoted.
It makes one wonder why he was signed

    According to Jol:

“He will be out for the next two weeks and then we will make an assessment,” Jol said. “He’s got a few injections in his shoulder – it’s quite sensitive and if it’s not right in two weeks time he probably needs an operation.

“But the strange thing is that he trains with us. It’s only a matter of over stretching all the time and then he feels a lot of pain. He had an operation on his other shoulder so we have to be very careful"

This guy, good keeper though he is, could just turn out to be a waste of money.

Shame about this quality keeper but no good injured. Stockade has done alright so far but one or two mistakes have cost us, good shot stopper, not sure he owns or commands his area to well

Stockdale is a good shotstopper, so it's the scappy goals that our defence needs to avoid.
