Our ex Striker? Stefan Payne was sent off yesterday for attacking one of his Grimsby team mates as they left the pitch at half time the Ref had to run to the tunnel to show the red card. 6 games to go 7 points adrift at the bottom of league 2 he does seem to be finding his playing level

Saw the video clip of the incident somewhere - may have been on the Grimsby forum. Hard to see how he can survive this - the Grimsby fans seem pretty much united in their disapproval of him anyway, let alone this incident. They all seem to consider him to be lazy, arrogant and stealing a wage. One of their posters did make the observation that this was the 1st header he has got on target since he joined them!!:emoticon-0136-giggl

I did hear a whisper today that Mr Pearson has enquired if they can loan him at Ashton Gate for the last few games - he is seen as just the player to add fire to their forward line. Apparently Grimsby are seriously considering it. :1980_boogie_down:
