Sunderland AFC News And Banter Page:

The Lyon midfielder, Steed Malbranque, a former player of Fulham, Tottenham and Sunderland between 2001 and 2011, said Wednesday that the presence in the workforce Newcastle a dozen French players could create a clan and problems in the group.

Certainly a little strange the way they are going all out French. Might be over the top on flair but will they have the balls for a relegation fight. Will they all click in the next 3/4 games. The French are well known for being a "huffy" race. The Mags are pretty pleased with the buys and the linked players and although I don't claim to be well up on the French league I've never even heard of these latest 3,Bit of a risk if you ask me.

There is a risk with all foreign signings but it seems to me that the mags have well overplayed their French hand here and that far from being this guru of scouting, Carr is simply looking like a one trick pony and cannot operate outside this league.

Only time will tell of course, if this is a step too far for the French Foreign Legion up at NE but they have got to hope and pray its not because if they flop, they have shot their wad and are currently 2 points worse off at the same stage of their relegation campaign and I dont see much fight in their team so far?

I like the more spread out approach we have adopted with a mixture of players, cultures and nations.

To be fair, Yanga M'Biwa is a cracking player.

Gouffran is pony though, go back to when we were linked in summer and see me rant!
