Chuffed about this because I'm going to live in Lyon next week for my year abroad! So glad I'll be able to see Steed again in the flesh, he's such a classy player!

Beautiful part of the world mate, only had 2 days in the Loire valley, very keen to go back, Lyon is the best value city in France that I've been to, really affordable, always a bonus!

Ah that sounds awesome mate, I really can't wait, the apartment I've found is right next to a cathedral and overlooks the river, slight step up from Chester-le-Street! Will be great to get a chance to see some continental footy as well.

    Bit different to Chester mate!

It's about 45 mins from Lyon to St Etienne, very pretty place, and a bit less busy than Lyon!

You'll enjoy your time there, deffo.

I'll have to check that out mate! Also heard the derby between them and OL can get quite tasty, will have to investigate.

Seemed a bit placid down there for owt too heavy, we were out of season mind ;)

Try and get to the Marseille game, just to hear the Marseille fans!

We saw Marseille years ago v Strasbourg, it was jaw dropping watching their fans, I'd desperately love to see a game at the Veledrome, just for that.

They never stopped for the entire game, including some crazy bouncing and scarf waving through half-time.

Mon- sounds class mate, hopefully I'll be around when Marseille come to town. Just saw John Mensah's been released, always thought it'd be typical if he never missed a game for Lyon after his injury record for us haha!

Cest- true mate, but there are no French birds either like!
