For those of you who are gamers and have steam (or even if you don't) you should take a look at the steam store atm, there's a summer sale going on at the moment and you can save quite a bit but most deals only last about 48 hours, maybe less. For example, yesterday there was 75% off Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition (about £7.50 for New Vegas and all it's expansions, bargain!).
£7.50 for NV+add ons is amazing! I won't be getting any because my laptop sucks for games (as do most laptops below £1000) but still great deal.
I have a good enough computer...but I'm in enough trouble with O2 re. exceeding my download allowance as it is. Might call them and threaten to leave.
I may have to browse, been wanting to try a new pc game for a while. my custom built laptop can run skyrim on the highest settings easily, any suggestions for a game?
One of the best games you can get right now is Arma II. It's 3 years old and was never that successful, but some guy made a mod for it which is absolutely incredible. It's called DayZ and it's basically a zombie survival game in a massive free roaming world. It's been described as the best zombie game ever made. This one guy is responsible for 300,000 sales of the game in the two months after DayZ's release and making it the top selling game for a while this year.
Cheers I'll have a look into that when I get my laptop charger back, I love open world games, also strategy games like age of empires - they need to bring out a new one!
That'll teach you for cutting the costs to the absolute bone. A mate of mine has a 2gb monthly limit, but unlimited after midnight 'till 6am, just to save a fiver a month. He BS's that he's happy, but It's turned his world topsy-turvy.
Day Z gets boring tbh, plus it's only in beta so there are a hell of alot of bugs. With only one guy working on it, it'll take ages to sort out.
I may as well use this thread to ask a couple of Fallout 3 levels. I'm currently mid-way through level 19, but there's still loads of unfinished quests so what happens if I get to level 20? Does the XP get added on or do you start getting 0 xp for kills and quests? And if you then get Point Look out, would any additional XP past 20 be added on, possibly leveling you straight away if you'd gotten a lot of extra xp after reaching level 20? Secondly, Point Lookout raises the level to 30 but as the main quest requires you to complete the original game, does that mean once you install it, you can't level past level 20 until you complete the original game?
