Just a little confusing as January transfer window opens at Home Park,....so to clarify in my mind this is what we know.

Definately staying is.......Neal Trotman has been offered a new contract until end of season...and has accepted.,why not longer ?

Definately going.......Jamie Reckord has returned to Wolves.....Hamza Bencherif has been released.......Tope Obadeyi loan spell finished and returned to Bury.

Not sure what is happening with Andre Blackman......possibly been offered a new contract but haven't personally heard anything as yet.

Returning........Tyler Harvey loan period at Salisbury completed.........Nick Chadwick returned from Tamworth.......6 months left on his contract....Sheridan interested in agreeing to pay him off....which means that he could return to Tamworth who want him back.

Who will come in to replace those that have gone....nothing as yet.....Banton should be back at Palace now ?

PS.....the following have already been involved in transfers in.......AFC Wimbledon. Bury, Torquay, Burton, Accrington, Chesterfield and Northampton.

PPS.....Retuning ? even returning maybe doh.

Ian Holloway has just been appointed manager at Millwall despite the fact he was reportedly burnt-out at Crystal Palace. Another strange occurrence in Mr Holloway's career......

As he has a tendency to hoover up players from clubs he's had previous connections with (e.g. Puncheon and Bolasie both at Palace), I suspect Banton could end up at Millwall if Holloway rates him. If he doesn't, perhaps we should think whether we should rate him.

I'm happy with the forward line at the minute and don't see there is a rush to add to that although Banton on a permanent might be interesting and show some committment. The players who will not be staying haven't torn up any trees or been that involved in a winning side so in this harsh business we won't miss them particularly. I would love to keep Lavery till the end of the season but that might be a bit optimistic.

With Lavery only signed til end of Jan and with a 24 hour recall option would like to see us strengthen there or we could be back to goal drought again. Cover on the left too would be nice. Any more news on Cox?

Lavery didn't play on Sunday and we still scored 2 mexijan. I think we are not giving credit to some of our's this term where credit is due.

Blimey sensible....you still up at 12:50AM....or are you in Mexico with mexijan at present.

I'm not so confident as you sensible......I think we need strengthening up front.....just imagine if Reid was out for 4/6 weeks...there would be no decent target man and certainly no regular scorer .....and you watch how quick the confidence would disappear from the team.

Lavery will be gone at the end of the month,we would be back were we started....lowest goal scorers in the Div 2 again.

I would accept that Banton would be an exception in that he is proven already for us. However, any other supposed striker would be a punt and no more certain to produce than anything we already have. The scenario of Reid being injured and us somehow getting another prollific scorer as cover is a bit far fetched. They don't grow on trees, they are not cheap and even if both of those were covered there is no guarantee it would work here. Hence I am happy up front.

(I was watching an episode of ATD being all moral plym)

I don't do rabbit food plym. Bacon and egg most mornings for me. I do a bit of my 5 a day thing but I'm damned if I'm going to turn veggi and give up the pasties just yet. Her in doors went outdoors this morning and left me to my own devices. Choice between finding something to do housework wise or switch on the machine. Give you two guesses which won.....

Hi sensible, I'm good thanks. Busy, busy. I hope you and Mrs Sensible are well. Sorry I don't get on here much. I do look at the place weekly but seldom have the time to comment much - not even on the tennis forum. Tbh I'm really out of it now, my son goes to Argyle with his mates and I've kinda lost touch.

    Happy New Year all xxx

Hi Mrs LaLa....wishing you a happy and prosperous new year....hoping Beau isn't finding the winter too depressing....you could treat him to a sun lamp and play calypso music to him to help him through the winter months.

A farewell Tweet from Nick Chadwick this morning, thanking players, staff & the Green Army and stating it's been an honour & privilege to represent PAFC.....

......and Jason Banton to undergo medical on Wednesday before signing an 18 month deal.

I kind of agree your sentiments HP but I fear there will only be a song of rejoicing at the Pub later because this will have been well received by the majority who wanted Chadders to go a lot sooner and anywhere but here. I wish him well even if he didn't work out here.
