https://www.themag.co.uk/2024/04/am...s-newcastle-united-directors-companies-house/ I'm hoping this doesn't mean much but I'm really hoping that this doesn't signal the start of our club just being used and dumped and we'll see no more investment at some point.
The article actually states that they only resigned from a dormant company. Just a misleading headline
Whilst the main story is non-news, what is news is Staveley's stake has been reduced further by Reubens. She's now down to about 6% ownership.
And the Reuben’s up to 14%. This makes sense to me. They are in it for the development of the stadium and area. That’s their bag. I know it won’t go down well. But they will want to build a brand spanker stadium.
It's been that way for a while. Just made the news again as they've resigned from loads of dormant companies. Can't see Amanda and Mehrdad owning any % int the near future unless she somehow finally manages to beat Barclay's. That being said I's like them both to stay on in the roles they've taken up.
The entire point of Staveley and co getting 10% was to slowly sell it to the Reubens as stock prices rise. That's their payment for facilitating the deal. Ownership of the club will be 20% Reubens 80% PIF
Agreed and Staveley and Mehrad walk away with a nice finders fee. That’s not a problem for me. They have fulfilled their roles and done well.
