He was talking about his role at Sunderland and he said he's going to Birmingham vs Brighton next week to Scout a player. Wonder who it could be??

Could be Butland, or either of the above.

Great shout that Mons, as the rumours of a bid for Mignolet gathers pace maybe we are lining up another keeper to compliment Westwood?

If we can get £20m for Mig (he is far better than De Gea imo who went for £17.8m) , then buy Butland for say £2m or £3m to back up Westwood and use the money towards buying say the likes of Sissoko and Negredo, then whilst I'd be sad to see the Mig leave, I could live with it.

There is going to be a helluva lot of speculation between now and the end of the month. Lol

We are gonna lose Mig at some point Cest, replacing him with a young England international, and a massive wedge would soften the blow.

Still rather keep Mig mind, ****ing love the kid.

He has gone from young lad to a man in the last 12 months Mons and is without doubt one of the best 2 or 3 keepers in the league. He is a far better keeper than De Gea and at a better age. If we get £20m and bring in Butland and 2 other top players using the money, then for the good of the team so be it. We have to be realistic about where we are right now and Westwood and Butland would be pretty good imo.

I had that thought, but Butland said last week 'I will only leave to play'.

I doubt it's Butland, was just a suggestion, not impossible.

I didn't mind us cashing in on Bent and Henderson, but I would be loathed to part with the Mig.

Keepers of his standard are rare

Would hazard a guess that it's someone from Brighton as Birmingham are playing midweek at home.
