On Saturday, PL will be in charge for his 100th game at City. Here's his record. W55, D26, L18. Would be brilliant if in his 100th game that win column will go up to 56. Not too shabby a record I suppose. We've had worse managerial records <shudders>
That's very good. Wonder what the average for managers is. Also, wonder what the comparison is like compared to sir Alex fergusons 25 years.
Well, you can't compare Fergie and Lambie's careers quite like that because Fergie didn't have a great start and lots of fans wanted him out for years, but Lambert has essentially won games from the moment he arrived.
That's true enough DM. Don't some people say that Mark Robins saved Fergie with his last minute goal against Forest in the cup all them years ago? I believe that was 1990, and Fergies first trophy with Man utd.
Couldn't tell you exactly as I wasn't born then, but I read this article before I posted my comment; http://soccernet.espn.go.com/column...nd-to-1990:-fergie's-'darkest-period'?cc=5739
Fergie win percentage: 59.33 Bob Paisley: 57.38 Wenger: 57.11 Lambert: 53.15 Don Revie: 52.2 Shankly: 52.19 Brian Clough (Derby): 46.71 Bobby Robson (ipswich) 44.57 It's not bad company is it?
Lambert is indeed in great company! Just looked up Mourinho's win percentages out of interest- 70.81% with Chelsea!!! What were they thinking getting rid of him on the back of a record like that?
Am surprised Sir Bobby's win ratio wasn't higher. Surely after all his games in charge the win ration would be higher?
