Found this web site, very interesting, have a play around with it, one thing that struck me is that although we are around mid table for chances/shots for, our conversion rate for those shots being on target puts us top.! We also are doing a very good job of limiting the amount of chances we give to the opposition, well done MM & TC. http://www.footstats.co.uk/index.cfm?task=Leagues
I have got ipswich player now so I can see about 20 minute highlights of each game. I've got to say that in the Middlesbrough game we looked a lot more like Burley's side than the Keane / Jewell sides, and when we didn't have possession the defenders were confident and assured, so stats like these aren't surprising and I'm sure more chances will come with confidence, although the conversion rate will inevitably decrease as the quality of those chances will be fewer. McGoldrick is a class act and you only have to watch his goals lately to see that he is not one for blasting at the keeper and hoping for the best.
I've had to rely on Player now for a number of years Hampy. You get some great interviews on there but the highlights picture quality is diabolical and hasn't improved since I started using the service. At least I get to see some action though.
Oh yeah, and just so you know Hampy, being a Player member means you can go onto any teams website that uses Player and view content. I've used the Hull site before because they have complete match replays (not sure if they still do, it was a couple of years ago now)
As you have 'Player' Now Hampy your opinion holds slightly more gravity with me....................................... ....................calm down just joking ..
I too totally depend on Player Hamps...can be frustrating with just the goals and build ups, but better than nothing Blue for weeks. Interviews help paint background picture, opinions and give updates on topical news. A round trip I find increasingly difficult at c300 miles and £80 squid all in! I note that an Ipswich cup of tea is one of the priciest! Still, with both Brighton and now Bournemouth in same league and useful teams by all accounts, I expect to get to a few Away games. I remain curiously upbeat about this season...all agreed on lack of midfield creativity and skilled playmakers and providers. When did we last reach the dizzy heights of 11th during September?
