Some stats for you Swansea have beaten Fulham in all three of their Premier League meetings, conceding just one goal. 93% of Swansea's goals this season have come from open play, the highest proportion in the top-flight. Danny Graham scored only his fourth goal away from home in the Premier League for Swansea - his other 10 have come at the Liberty Stadium. Swansea have lost only two of their last 11 Premier League matches (W4 D5 L2). also maintained our unique record of winning all six of the games in which we have opened the scoring this season. Swansea are currently 66/1 to be relegated with some bookies Swansea are currently 56/1 to finish top 4 with some bookies
I know how you love the stats Jager! but those last two stats from the bookies just sums up the stats issue. the only stats I'm interested in these days, are Possession and shots on goal stats! Hell of a game today by the way, thought Fulham matched us in all departments very well, and were worthy of a draw............
10 shots with 9 on target, and 41% possession mate . If that was last season we would have lost . Last season there was also 10 shots at goal 7 on target but 60% possession.
This is where stats are decieving! We may well have had 60% possession last season, but 20% of that was passing it along the back!........... Did I ever tell you what Rodgers team talks consisted of, before games? Ok I'm going to let you all into the dynamics of Rodgers Technical now how, he had two frases depending on the oposition! his first was "We are going Martinez today lads, express yourselves" and "Sorry lads but it's the 'Sousa' today" "pass along the back, it will keep our Possession stats high"................ PS: But don't tell Dai, it will break his little heart!.......... please log in to view this image
Here's a stat, 28 points, 14 at home and 14 away. Who would have predicted that by our closing game of 2012. I'd have said our home form would bring in our points, but I think teams come to us with we'll settle for a point attitude, whereas away, we can counter and hold onto our leads now, something we've lacked before. Can't wait till the new players settle in
Bloody hell, have you seen that Arsenal beat Newcastle 7 3 and we've beaten both away from home this season.
Im loving our consistency this season.. Not so much in winning away to Arsenal then losing at home to Norwich, but just that we always seem to be picking up points here or there. As you said, won 4, drew 5, lost 2 in the last 11. If we can start to gather some real momentum we can make a right push for it.
It's looking very good under Laudrup lads, lets hope we can keep the Gunners mitts of him, seems the Arsenal board see him as the successor to Wenger, I'm praying he has a long managerial life!............. please log in to view this image
That's why I'm never too concerned when we draw - it keeps the scoreboard ticking over. A Test cricketer builds his innings with singles and the occasional four
It's a sign of a good team that we win when we don't play very well. If you put it to last season I can't think of a game where we won ugly if you like. Brendan had us playing pretty football but we were toothless going forward. We won't get many clean sheets but we will score goals and that's what will win us games. Another few stats we are +5 points on last season, at this stage last season we had scored 18 , 23 against -5 goal difference. This season 29 scored 24 against +5 goal difference. What it points to is that we are far more effective going forward. Laudrup is key
