Quite an interesting read on WOL. It's no wonder we are 12th, worst possession record in the league, only 4 clean sheets and a third of our goals coming from set pieces . http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/.../revealing-cardiff-city-stats-showing-8393755
Thanks Nat. Confirms everything we have been saying - including us being the nicest team in the league - and as a result one of the easiest to beat. We badly need some spit, fire and to get in the oppositions' faces - and the ref's ear. Oh for Craig Bellamy to be 5 years younger!!!!
I have always rated Steve Tucker as a decent journo unlike those clown's Phillips and Abbaddanato. Spot on again. In particular, the inability to hunt the ball down, and retain possession and pass to a team mate as well as crucially the lack of quality midfield play to create chances. Incidentally I reckon that the last direct fee kick scored by Whittingham in the league was some 2 seasons ago versus Wolves (when he got a hat trick). He has lost his ability to hit a decent free kick. How can that be?
nat it shocks me there are twelve teams worse than us......fk me the standards have dropped in thy beautiful game
The table might say that aber, but the **** we're playing right now wont keep it that way. The writing is on the wall for this club and if this goes on much longer, we'll be swapping places with the wurzels. The most telling stat from that article nat put up was this......... "When it comes to possession statistics in the division it will come as no surprise to anyone who has watched them this term that the Bluebirds are rock-bottom. That’s right, no one has had the ball less than Cardiff in the Championship this season, not even Blackpool. Cardiff are averaging 43.4 per cent with Birmingham next worst with 43.7." ..................and Slade is signing strikers.
I know where you coming from sparky I watched them enough on stream this season 2 even bore the pants off most fans>>even the anoraks are feeling the pain of it all...................but the table doesn't lie, stats are good are getting at points where we fall short but correct me if im wrong, the others below us are obviously doing slightly worse what ever picture stats can paint.>>>>>>>>we are where we are because this division is fking shocking this season.......we be getting propped up by sh.i.t and that's a fact not a stat............ no offence nat im just not big on stats that all ......nothing personal my lady
aber - the only thing I can say to that is that you're correct, the table doesn't lie. The point I was making is that the table is a snapshot in time and it's a matter of who's currently doing the business and those are still producing **** that will ultimately decide the final table positions. The way it's going, we are on the way down it and others like Brum, Bolton and even Fulham are moving the other way. If it carries on like this, we'll finish bottom 6 because only Blackpool, Leeds, Brighton, Millwall and Malky's new boys Wigan look like staying where they are.
spot on sparks dude, I`d be shocked if we remain mid table tbh but thank fcuk for leeds united and the others you mention........... as we all know these stats are reason enough for slade 2 resign or tan to sack but im not sure either are man enough to realize they are both out of theyre depth tho
