Hi, I am currently doing work experience and have been asked to find out strange facts about the current Premier League Clubs and was wondering if I could have any help concerning Hull to complete the task. These facts could be along the lines of: Sunderland not winning a match on a Monday for 12 years or Crystal Palace having an unbeatable record on a Tuesday for 'x' years If you have any other data around Hull or any other current Premier League team which fits along these lines it would be much appreciated Good luck for the rest of the season - Bruce deserves great praise Thanks Sam
Ian Ashbee was the first player in history to captain a side to promotions through all the divisions. Wasnt there something like 3 people in history who had played for a team in all the divisions and then we doubled it in one fell swoop with Dawson, Myhill, France and Ashbee? Thats a guess rather than a fact.
Not sure but theres probably some odd statistic about managers losing their job in the week following playing us. Also saw something on twitter yesterday about George Boyd having ran further warming up than on the pith this season. And a great stat going into next week, we've never lost at new wembley!
It's not a long list, but it's a lot longer than 3. Lots of Wimbledon and Sheffield United players on it. The last before Ash/Daws/France/etc was Fulham's Sean Davis.
the ever famous hull city - can't fill the letters in, why that's important i'd not know but it wouldn't be good material for a childrens colouring book
Anelka does Quenelle gesture - FA charge him Sagbo tweets in support of Anelka - FA charge him Nasri does Quenelle gesture - FA don't care, measly warning for his troubles. ------------------------------------------- Alan Pardew moves head forward whilst squaring up - FA ban him Sagbo moves head forward whilst squaring up, without even making any contact - FA ban him Joe Hart moves head forward whilst squaring up - FA don't care, gets let off unpunished. ------------------------------------------ The strangest fact about football in this country is the governing bodies are ****ing useless biased ****s, and nobody seems to give a ****.
Ian McKechnie, first ever keeper to concede a penalty, save a penalty and miss a penalty in a penalty shoot out
That's a good one that. And McKechnie is the the only player, ever to be pelted with oranges, by his own fans.
Actually there's a proper one - we were involved in the world's first penalty shoot out to decide a knockout competition. In the Watney Cup vs Man Utd and George Best missed. We still lost.
Heremiah Ngata was the first (and to my knowledge only, still) Maori to play English league football.
100% of the father of the Football Association and modern football was born in Hull. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebenezer_Cobb_Morley
