Gillingham assistant manager John Schofield also played down the defeat, saying promotion was their main target.

"We have said that out target over 46 games is to get as many points as we can," Schofield told BBC Radio Kent. Got to say this was a master plan.Well done Jhon.

Yeah that is not the first time he has said that, where has MA gone, he has been quiet the last few days, this means he is not happy with them if he is staying quiet.

I've got no issues with John at least someone is keeping common sense in the camp. However, MA never did any favours with his moments of euphoria. We probably all say things we regret at times but to say we were building a team to Smash League One is certainly very high on my list as the most careless words a manager can allow to be conveyed to the public domain.

I've already stated on other threads we will get promoted. There is nothing wrong with positivity. But if a single supporter had come out with MA's comment they would not have had equal defence from MA supporters, that we are top of L2 but more would have been seen as getting ahead of ourselves.

People probably laugh at me for suggesting promotion by Easter, so where in the category of things does that leave MA's comments.
